A Mona Spider's Web

A Mona Spider's Web

The gardens and surrounding landscape at Mona Country Manor House are a photographer's dream. Be it macro or micro there is always something of interest to be photographed. Like this spider who has spun a web on the homestead verandah.

Group Getaway - The Funsters

Group Getaway - The Funsters

The Funsters enjoyed a special group getaway and reunion of old friends at a weekend at MONA in August 2011.

As so often happens, in the last two weeks of August, there was glorious weather and it was warm and sunny for the whole weekend.

Lots of laughter, eating, sleeping, and convivial conversation, a lovely dinner at Zac's Table and a bit of a party in the Stables Villa with the juke box and billiard table. Read more »

This was the experimental version for planking on the bridge. The vote was that this orientation was a "bit" uncomfy.

Mark Gunter's interpretation of the entrance to MONA

Mark Gunter's interpretation of the entrance to MONA

The Little River Road entrance to MONA is not usually as exciting as the entrance off the King Highway on the way to Batemans Bay, but this photograph taken by Mark Gunter gives it a special feel.

Photographers of all types enjoy MONA. There are wonderful light and shade effects, beautiful landscapes and sculptures, and lots of wildlife and birds. Everyone sees something different.

Mark very generously provided us with some photographs taken during his short visit in January 2011.

More from Mark Gunter - The Mound

Photographer Mark Gunter took this spectacular photograph of "the Mound". The Mophead Robinias surrounding the sculpture "The Torso" by Patricia Lawrence look especially artistic in this black and white image.
