The Stables Villa
The Stables Villa, completed in 1998, has four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms opening onto a central lounge/dining area complete with slow combustion fire, billiard table and juke box. Downstairs there is a country kitchen with wood fuelled stove and across the entrance foyer, a double spa bathroom. Separate to this are the real Stables complete with six horse stalls to accommodate those who travel with their horses!

Whether a family or group of friends celebrating a special event the Stables Villa with its cosy fire, juke box and billiard table is a great place to 'hide away' for a weekend. Mona Country Manor House is conveniently located just outside Braidwood, half way between Canberra and the South Coast of NSW making it an ideal meeting place for friends and family from Sydney, Canberra and the Coast.

In keeping with MONA's principle of "no shower curtains, no shower screens", the Stables ensuites have been designed to maximise space and allow for a roomy shower recess. Each bathroom is fitted out with roomy shower recesses. Enjoy the waterfall shower heads and vanities with generously shelf space. The underfloor heating and heated towel rails ensure you will wake to warm dry towels and bathmats .

Just outside the Blue Bedroom, in the Stables Villa, is a lovely old oak tree. Beyond this is a view across the paddocks and Mona Creek towards the Wool Shed and Shearers' Quarters. From the Blue Bedroom you can enjoy those those last rays of golden sunlight and the often dramatic sunsets.

An all white tiled, spacious bathroom. An added bonus to the Stables Villa. All rooms have their own bathroom, but this is extra!. This spacious, all white bathroom is the ultimate in indulgence. Why not consider a massage in this comfortably heated room followed by a totally relaxing spa bath. It's all just about you...or share, there's room for two!

Ray Siede, Interior Designer, has been heard to say "I'm not afraid of colour". Well this is it! An incredible blend of colours! Ray spent many years travelling through Spain and Italy. Ray's interior design for MONA Country Manor House has clearly been influenced by his time in these countries.

With its wood fuelled fire stove the Stables kitchen at Mona Country Manor House is very much a country kitchen. Warmed by the stove fire in winter, the stove can also be operated electrically in summer. The kitchen is also fitted with a dishwasher, fridge and microwave. In the warmer summer months when dining on the Fountain Lawn is possible many guests elect to BBQ their meat saving the kitchen for salad preparations. A full sized Billiard table tests the skills of the best. Complete with the juke box and the "Swing Arm" television, it's better than a visit to your favourite pub. A favourite with the groom and groomsmen the night before the wedding, the "party" room in the Stables proves to be popular with groups of all ages, men and women alike. A game of Kelly pool always goes down well with a group. Instructions for the various games is framed on the wall so there is no dispute about rules. At Mona Country Manor House cheating is reserved for croquet!
