The Coach House Villa

The Coach House Villa is an historic building which was built in 1903 and operated as a Coachhouse. In 2005 a complete refurbishment saw this gracious solid building turned into luxurious accommodation conjuring images of a Villa in Tuscany. The Coach House Villa, luxury accommodation in Braidwood NSW, comprises three bedrooms with ensuites, a gourmet eat-in kitchen, and separate lounge/dining area.

The Coachhouse Villa

The Coachhouse Villa

Constructed in 1903 as a Coachhouse this solid building now houses three luxurious king bedrooms. The decor of each bedroom is unique. Each room has an ensuite bathroom with a generous sized bath. The Mona Lisa Ensuite

The Mona Lisa Ensuite

A spacious and gracious bathroom, with plenty of room to spread. Enjoy a leisurely shower in the large shower recess with a built-in wooden seat to one side for comfortable pampering while you wash. Or relax in a deep and generous bath and contemplate the collection of framed shells on the wall.

More of the Mona Lisa

More of the Mona Lisa

The beautiful Mona Lisa is our most popular room. Facing North it gets the sun most of the day in winter. The room looks out onto a private quadrangle of lawn with a Magnolia planted in the centre. Thujas surround the lawn and provide privacy. Beyond, is a wonderful view of Braidwood Wilson Hill where the namesake of Braidwood the township is buried.

...you will be smiling too!!!!

The Leonardo Room

The Leonardo Room

Pink! This lovely room is very pink, but very European in its feel. The room and its en-suite have French windows opening onto the Coachhouse Courtyard with rural views beyond.

The Mona Lisa Room

The Mona Lisa Room

This spacious and gracious bedroom with en-suite is probably the "best room in the house".

It has a sleep inducing king size bed and a glorious northerly aspect and  its own sitting/reading area, so you can feel totally private and undisturbed.

The walls of the Coachhouse are so thick that there is little noise from outside and, as in all the Coachhouse rooms, the total black out curtains ensure those early rays of sunlight don't disturb your well earned sleep in.

The Horse

The Horse

Symbolic of its historical origins, a horse mounted on a plinth stands at the entrance to the Coachhouse in the Da Vinci Suite sitting room. Built in 1903 and once a functioning coach house, the coach would have entered through the large doorway reflected in the mirror.

The Da Vinci Suite in-room lounge

As well as its own dedicated sitting room with view over the formal gardens at MONA, the Da Vinci Suite has an in-room lounge for reading and relaxing. The spacious Suite faces North and has views onto the Magnolia lawn.

The Coachhouse Lounge

The Coachhouse Lounge

The central breezeway of the 1903 Couchhouse at Mona Country Manor House has been converted to a lounge/dining area where nestles of comfy chairs and a couch surround the slow combustion fire. A farmhouse dining table and formal dining chairs honour the gourmet meals prepared in the separate kitchen. On Braidwood's wintry nights, it is a delight to curl up in front of the cosy fire with a glass of wine and a good book. The walls of the Coachhouse are so solid you won't know if the wind is howling or the rain is pouring down. Read more »

The Gourmet Eat-in Kitchen

The Da Vinci Suite Bathroom

The Da Vinci Suite Bathroom

This could have been another bedroom with ensuite but the owners of Mona Country Manor House agreed it needed to be something "different and special". The result? A very, very spacious and luxurious bathroom. You can even take your massage in here. All bathrooms have been designed so that shower screens and curtains are not required. You will find yourself in a shower space with room to twist and turn in comfort under a generous stream of hot water. All the Coachhouse bathrooms have windows with garden and rural views. The natural daylight is enhanced by skylights. Read more »
