from $90 Let the littlies enjoy their first ride at MONA. Prince is so called because of his gentlemanly manners. Calm and gentle, this giant horse is reliable for all ages.
The younger (5 yrs and under) and smaller children can enjoy being in the saddle with Kerry, while Greg holds the lead. Older and more confident children may ride themselves while Kerry controls the lead. The saddle is fitted with a strap for "hanging on".
The short led-ride takes the horse and rider on a gentle walk over the MONA bridge and along the grassy edge of the drive as far as the intersect road.
A more extended ride takes in a lap of the Leylandii forest and, if your child feels confident, can include a short trot.
- All riders are require to wear a helmut supplied by MONA Country Manor House
- Parents are required to accompany their children (on foot) for the led-rides
- The short led-ride takes about 1 hour (including preparation time) - cost $90 pp
- The longer led-ride takes about 1 1/2 hours (including prepartion time) - cost $130 pp
