NGA - Materpieces from Paris

Over the Christmas break many of our guests have visited this wonderful exhibition at the National Art Gallery of Australia. Some of our guests have decided on a spontaneous visit, others have planned the whole trip and timing, using MONA Country Manor House as a luxury accommodation alternative to accommodation in Canberra.

Word has it that mornings are very busy. The afternoons are less so. The Premium Tickets give you an early start but help reduce the waiting time for those of you keen to get back to the real life art of MONA's gardens.

Book Club Weekend

Over the Christmas break I finished the third of the Millenium Triology by Stig Larsson. Poor Salander she really did have her share of troubles.

I have discovered that lots of people love discussing the books they have read, and many don't have time or the contacts to belong to a book group.

Saddle Camp for Girls

Helen and Rob Faulkner run the Saddle Camp for girls just ten minutes from Braidwood. They offer horse (or pony) riding lessons, mini gymkanas, horse grooming, bushrides and lots of other fun "horsey" activities for girls.
Watch this blog for Helen's comments on up and coming activities.

And while your girls are riding, why not think about a calm "adult" horse ride around MONA's 120 acres, or indulge in a massage in the comfort of your Villa at MONA Country Manor house.

Braidwood Events 2010

Wow did christmas go qucikly, and now another year begins.

In Braidwood that means all those annual events that are so popular are about to start rolling around all over again:

Women's Workshops

I am really excited about this one.

On 25th - 27th September 2009 we held a pilot Women's Workshop at MONA.
A mix of personal development, style and image, and relaxation and pampering, for women only.

The participants were so involved I had to "drag them away" for dinner.
The feedback was very positive, with all participants wanting more of everything!

For more details see Women's Workshops...

Country Fair & Feast

The Old Cheese Factory at Reidsdale, just 10 minutes from Braidwood, is holding a Country Fair & Feast on Sunday 18th October 2009 starting at 4pm.

The Fair is organised by Transition Initiative Braidwood (TIB), part of a world wide movement to prepare for the challenges of Peak Oil and Climate Change. TIB is a not for profit organisation and funds raised will be used to support community projects and activities and encourage local food production.

Don't count on the Braidwood Spring weather. Bring hats, coats and gloves with you.

The Fair will included:
