Send to friendHelen and Rob Faulkner run the Saddle Camp for girls just ten minutes from Braidwood. They offer horse (or pony) riding lessons, mini gymkanas, horse grooming, bushrides and lots of other fun "horsey" activities for girls.

Horsemanship Days - Learn how to groom, saddle, ride, harness and drive a horse, and take part in a mini-gymkhana. A great introduction for lessons, or if you're keen to own a horse. 10 am - 4 pm, costs $70. When? Tuesdays 6/4, 13/4, 20/4 and Sundays 25/4, 30/5.
Morning Tea with a Bushranger - Ride a 5 km trail through an historic Bushranger area listening to some fabulous tales, getting bailed up and having morning tea with a bushranger. 10am-12pm, costs $55. When? Sunday 21/3, Wednesdays 7/4, 14/4, 21/4 and Sunday 9/5.
Gymkhanas - A day full of games on horse-back. Learn new horse riding skills and put them into action! 10 am-2 pm, costs $60. When? Thursdays 8/4, 15/4, 22/4 and Sunday 2/5.
Show Days - Learn how to plait up a pony and present it for showing, and learn how to compete in a leading class, riding class, dressage test and jumping competition. A perfect introduction to Showing and Pony Club. 10am-3pm, costs $65. When? Fridays 9/4, 23/4 and Sunday 16/5.
One Day Event - For all my Saddle Camp Graduates and other experienced riders. Compete in a Dressage Test and ride a Show Jumping and Cross Country Jumping Course. Lessons and practice in the morning followed by the competition in the afternoon. 10 am-2 pm, costs $60. When? Friday 16/4 and Sunday 23/5.
Easter Egg Hunt Ride - Enjoy a fabulous, chocolatey horse ride in the Bombay Hills searching for Easter Eggs. 10 am-12 noon, 12.30 pm-2.30 pm or 3-5 pm, costs $55. When? Good Friday 2/4, Easter Saturday 3/4 and Easter Sunday 4/4.
Overnight Camp - Your own horse for the weekend!!! Learn how to groom, saddle up, ride and drive a horse and cart. Play mounted games and party games on horseback. Spotlight native animals at night, trail ride through bushranger territory and practice competing in a horse show. Absolutely Girls Only! Costs $300 and includes meals & accommodation, with 4 places only! When? Saturday 10 to Sunday 11 April, or Saturday 17 to Sunday 18 April.
