MONA's Award-Winning Formal Gardens MONA has long been famous for her formal gardens. The gardens have been a work in progress since 1837. Mature Elms, Oaks, Cedars and Poplars provide strong and dramatic structure to the romantic garden plantings of Viburnum, Philadelphus,Crab Apple, and Lilac to name a few. Unique Farmland Estate Landscape MONA Country Manor House' s 120 acres have been developed following the principles of English Landscape Designer Capability Brown. Activities At MONA MONA Country Manor House is the place where you can be active all day or take it easy, relax and do nothing. For the sports enthusiast MONA Country Manor House tempts you with a tennis court, croquet lawn, jogging track and horse riding. Strolling through the award winning gardens offers a more gentle form of exercise, as does bird watching, platypus spotting and fishing for one of our elusive Bass.
